The Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center now offers four AMSTI workshops for science teachers, grades K – 12. Teachers will earn Professional Development Credits for participation in these free day-long workshops.

Airbus Principles of Flight
Middle and high school teachers, strap in and let your imaginations take flight! Learn the basics of aeronautics and how your students will participate in the correlating Principles of Flight Exploration workshop. This workshop includes interactive STEM education for grades 6 to 12.
LittleBITS: Build Something That Does Something
Teachers of middle and high school students get ready to take circuits to a whole new level! LittleBits are simple, small blocks that make engineering complicated circuits fun, easy and educational. The simplicity of the design takes the students’ ingenuity and challenges them to think both logically and creatively.
Middle and high school teachers, you will not believe your ears! Global Soundscapes is presented as a live and interactive performance in the IMAX/giant screen theater. The show takes you on an ear-opening journey into the science of sound and the exciting new field of soundscape technology.
In this workshop teachers will get a comprehensive introduction into program development and techniques that the Gulf Coast Exploreum utilizes to maximize learning through hands on STEM activities. Participants will directly encounter operations and the process that is used to develop resource minded programming.
