Classroom Activities
Enhance your field trip experience by adding an activity in the Exploreum Classroom. Each activity is designed to support grade level curriculum and provides a hands-on experience to accompany current traveling exhibits or IMAX Films. (Allow 45 minutes; minimum 8 students; limit 32 students per class; larger groups will be divided prior to your visit so that no more than 32 students are admitted to the Classroom at one time; Classroom Activities must be booked in advance.)

Frog Life Cycle
From egg to tadpole to full grown frog, your students will learn how frogs change as they go through their life cycles. They'll also model frog adaptations to learn how their unique bodies are built for the basics of survival - eating, swimming or climbing and avoiding predators by hiding or camouflaging themselves.

Amphibians: All in the Family
Frog or toad; what's the difference? Your students will discover the difference between frogs and toads by studying the characteristics of both, as well as what makes them different from other amphibians. They'll also identify frogs based on names, geography and calls.

Fly Me to the Moon Classroom Activities

Moon Mission
Students will take a trip to the Moon this fall! Before they launch, they will learn about the distance from the Earth to the Moon. While they are there, they will investigate the surface of the Moon by studying samples. They'll also learn how to protect themselves in space by creating a space suit fit for a potato astronaut.
