Exploreum Hosts Military Appreciation Day on Nov. 11 Tuesday, Nov 03, 2009Science Center to allow free admission to all active and retired duty military
The Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center is honoring the nation’s military by offering them free admission for themselves and one guest on Veterans’ Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11. Any active duty or retired military in the following branches of the armed services are eligible for the free admission passes simply by showing their military identification card:
• Army
• Navy
• Marine Corps
• Air Force
• Coast Guard
In cases where the military member is not in the area, the member’s spouse will receive two free passes by showing their military identification card. The free admission includes all permanent exhibits and the Bob the Builder™ - Project: Build It traveling exhibit, which is sponsored locally by Heritage Homes, Lowe’s and Publix.
All military personnel will also receive a 10 percent discount on gift shop items.
The Exploreum is open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday noon until 5:00 p.m. For more information on the Gulf Coast Exploreum, visit www.exploreum.com.
