Atrium Explorers

Join us in the Exploreum Atrium every first Saturday of the month from 10:00–11:30 AM for a hands-on science activity the whole family can enjoy! Each month features a new theme designed to inspire creativity, and discovery through playful experiments and interactive fun.

From building simple machines to exploring the wonders of chemistry, these drop-in sessions are the perfect way to kick off your Saturday with science.

Ideal for ages 6 and up, this hour-long program is included with general admission (free for Exploreum members) — just bring your curiosity and get ready to explore!

 

Schedule:

November 1, 2025 – Fall Colors & Turkeys Celebrate the season with hands-on science and creativity! Discover the hidden pigments inside autumn leaves with leaf chromatography, then make your own camouflaged turkey to take home and keep safe from the oven. Colorful learning and family fun for all ages!

December 6, 2025 – Marble Painting Get rolling with science and art! Explore motion and gravity as you use marbles, paint, and trays to create vibrant works of art. Watch how the paths of rolling marbles mix science and creativity—and take home your masterpiece!
