DESCRIPTION:Open Tuesday through Saturdays from 10:00am-4:00pm \n(Hours may vary with holidays\, special events\, and group bookings. Please call ahead to confirm hours at 1-251-208-6893.) \n  \n \nSUBZERO: Discovering Life Among the Ice\, will open on November 1\, 2022\, and run through January 14\, 2023. \nVisitors will engage in an interactive journey from the Arctic to Antarctica as they discover the worlds of the coldest places on Earth. \nTopics to be explored include animal diversity\, polar ecosystems\, engineering\, and historical expeditions. Sponsored by Mobile County – District 2. \nFor field trip and/or group booking information please contact mdunklin@exploreum.com or call 1-251-208-6880 \n \n  \n \n \n \n \n  \n \nSlip and Slide Sock Skating Rink. Guests will be able to skip the skates and enjoy a wintertime tradition not often experienced in the South\, wearing only socks. \nOur indoor rink is made from a high-tech synthetic polymer surface that lets kids of all ages slide around without blades\, runny noses or cold hands. Sock skating is the ideal challenge for beginning skaters. \n  \nSock Skating Rink \nAvailable to guests November 1st through January 14th  \nRecommended ages: 3 and up \nDos: \nSocks only \nBe respectful \nSocks Skate\, not slide and break \nGo with the flow \n  \nCost: \n$5 for 20-minute skate sessions (Cost is in addition to General Admission. Exploreum members would only pay for the skating cost.) \nAvailable capacity per session is 25 skaters. \n  \nTimes of Operation: \nSaturdays and Thanksgiving/Winter Holiday Breaks: \n10:30\, 11:00\, 11:30\, 1:00\, 1:30\, 2:00\, 2:30\, 3:00 \n  \nTuesday through Friday: \n1:00\, 1:30\, 2:00\, 2:30\, 3:00 \n  \nNOTE: “Skating Rink” is NOT available for school groups or rentals. DESCRIPTION:Winter Session 2022: Registration for the Winter Session is now open. Week one registration ends at 11:59 pm CST on December 18th. Week two registration ends at 11:59 pm CST on December 26th.\n-The Winter Session 2022 will take place December 19th through December 21st and December 27th through December 29th. Each day of the Winter Session will dive into the science behind coldest season of the year and all the creatures that live among the ice in the Arctic and Antarctic.\n-There will be two different classes available for registration per daily session – a class for children ages 4 to 6 years old and a class for children 7 to 10 years old.\n-Tuition for the Winter Session will be a daily rate of $55 for Non-Members and $45 for Members.\n-Lunches will be available for purchase for each individual day. Cost is $8 at time of registration or $10 if purchased the day of session. For more information about the menu\, please see the menu linked here. *Menu subject to change.
