Star Wars® collectibles? Baking in an Easy Bake Oven? Whatever was your favorite toy then and now\, you’re sure to find it in the TOYTOPIA exhibit at the Exploreum\, developed by Stage 9 Exhibits. Opening February 3\, 2023 and running daily throughout the normal exhibition hours of the science center (visit our Hours & Admission page for details)\, Toytopia is sure to rekindle the wonder and delight of your favorite childhood moments and where you can play all day in a world of big toys. \nToytopia is the one of the premier exhibits created by the Stage 9 Exhibits. Their exhibits have travelled internationally and been exhibited at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute\, Orlando Science Center\, and the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver\, Canada. This will be it’s premiere on the Gulf Coast so mark those calendars and start booking those trips now! \nFilling the entire traveling exhibit gallery here at the Exploreum\, Toytopia will showcase specialty exhibits from toymakers including: Hasbro®\, Duncan Yo-Yo®\, Schleich®\, Breyer®\, Crayola®\, KNEX® (Lincoln Logs®) and many more. \n“Our goal was to capture the essence of childhood wonder; that dream of being in a world of toys\,” explained Troy Carlson\, owner of Stage Nine Entertainment Group and G. From Turtles to tarantulas\, we love all our animals. \nHere is when and where to be: \n11:00 to 12:00-Animal Encounters in the Nature Pavilion \n2:30-Alka Seltzer Rockets in the Science Squad Headquarters \n3:00 to 4:00- Animal Encounters in the Nature Pavilion \nGeneral admission for non-members. Free for Exploreum members. Additional cost for Digital Dome movies. Toytopia exhibit included in admission as well. \nSchedules and Demos are subject to change based on special events\, weather\, staffing\, and other unforeseen circumstances. DESCRIPTION:Exploreum After Hours is back!\n\n\nNot only will we continue to host some of your favorite throwback movies in the Poarch Band of Creek Indians Digital Dome Theater but we will also host scavenger hunts\, costume contests and much more – with loads of cool prizes from local businesses. \nThis Month: Pulp Fiction \nCostumes are encouraged but be sure to wear your dancing shoes because we are holding our very own Jackrabbit Slim’s styled\, Twist-Off Competition before the Movie! The top 3 people who can twist the longest\, get to leave with a prize donated by local businesses in Mobile! \nBring Your Own Wine/Beer (no liquor at this time) options. Valid ID required. \nPlease limit drinks to one bottle/one 6-pack per person! Drink responsibly. \n5pm – The Exploreum doors open for Movie goers.\n5:45pm – Our Twist Off Competition begins.\n6:15pm – winners will be announced in the theater\, before starting the movie. \nThis is a 21+ only event.
