Then watch in amazement as our educator breaths fire! \nActivities will be ongoing Saturday\, 11:30am – 3:30pm\, included with general admission for non-members. Every week the schedules and demos change so check out what’s happening this weekend! \nSaturday Demo Schedule \n11:30- Gulf Coast Animals in the Wharf of Wonder \n12:30- Dragon’s Breath in the Science Squad Headquarters \n1:00-2:00- Animal Encounters in the Nature Pavilion \n2:30-Alka Seltzer Rockets in the Space Gallery \n3:30- Poppin’ Popcorn in the iHealthy Lab \nGeneral admission for non-members. Free for Exploreum members. Additional cost for Digital Dome movies. SUMMARY:USA RIC Airbus Discovery Space Workshop
DESCRIPTION:  \nTeachers\, come join us for the USA RIC Airbus Discovery Space Workshop on Saturday\, August 5th\, 2023. Earn professional development credits as we travel through space and the world of physical sciences. Participate in a hands-on workshop where we will explore the principles of flight with three experiments: alka-seltzer rockets\, stomp rockets\, and water rockets.  \nIn addition to the workshop\, teachers will enjoy exclusive access to our exhibit spaces\, a guided tour through our FEAR exhibit\, and a film in our Poarch Band of Creek Indians Digital Dome Theater (formerly IMAX Dome Theater).  \nFollowing the learning session\, the teachers that attended the session will have the opportunity to take the learned STEM lesson plans and bring them to life in their own classrooms. AIRBUS Discovery Space kits will be available for check-out during the 2023-2024 Academic year for those educators that participated in the training.
