Everest and IMAX Dome Theater Anniversary

Join us as we celebration one of several anniversary milestones here at the Gulf Coast Exploreum. From
October 10-13 we will be celebrating the XX anniverary of the IMAX classic, Everest, filmed by MacGillivray-Freeman. We will also be celebrating 20 years at our location in Downtown Mobile.
We will be bringing out this classic IMAX feature from our archives and showing it for a limited time only!
Everest – An international team of climbers ascends Mt. Everest in the spring of 1996. The film depicts their lengthy preparations for the climb, their trek to the summit, and their successful return to Base Camp. It also shows many of the challenges the group faced, including avalanches, lack of oxygen, treacherous ice walls, and a deadly blizzard.
