Located in the heart of downtown Mobile, Alabama, the Exploreum Science Center is a premier destination for interactive science learning along the Gulf Coast. Our mission is to inspire curiosity and foster a lifelong love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through hands-on exhibits, immersive experiences, and educational programs.

A Legacy of Learning: Our History
Established in 1983, the Exploreum Science Center originated from the vision of the Junior League of Mobile, aiming to provide a hands-on science museum for children. With community support, we opened our doors on Springhill Avenue and quickly became a cornerstone for informal science education.
In 1998, we relocated to our current downtown location at 65 Government Street, expanding our facilities to include state-of-the-art exhibits and the Poarch Band of Creek Indians Digital Dome Theater. This move allowed us to broaden our reach and impact, welcoming over 100,000 visitors annually.
